چکیده
In order to improve the resilience of structures subjected strong earthquakes, a buckling-plate self-centering friction damper (BPSCFD) with low post-yielding stiffness is proposed, which consists group post-buckling plates and variable mechanism. The intended not only reduce peak residual deformation structures, but also limit additional internal force structural elements. Through theoretical derivation finite element simulation, hysteretic damping characteristics BPSCFDs are studied. examine seismic performance BPSCFDs, dampers employed retrofit double-columns bridge bent, corresponding elastic-plastic time history analysis conducted. results show that force-displacement relationships different parameter combinations characterized by typical flag-shaped loops stiffness, can effectively bent without increasing acceleration base shear. research could supply guideline for design application damper.

In this study buckling analysis of solid rectangular plate made of porous material bounded with the layers of piezoelectric actuators in undrained condition is investigated. Porous material properties vary through the thickness of plate with a specific function. Distributing of the pores through the plate thickness is assumed to be the nonlinear nonsymmetric distribution. The ...
متن کاملDynamic Modeling of Magnetorheological Damper Behaviors
Based on theoretical analysis and experiments, this article proposes a new model for a magnetorheological (MR) damper. The proposed model with a smooth and concise form can interpret the bi-viscous and hysteretic behaviors of the MR damper very well. The parameters in the model have definite physical meanings. The bi-viscous and hysteretic behaviors can be characterized by two parameters 0 and ...
